Thomas Cook has filed for compulsory liquidation after last-minute negotiations on recapitalisation fell through. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) announced Tuesday that it is suspending operations of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in EU airspace. The move comes after an Ethiopian Airlines plane crashed on Sunday, killing all 157 people on board. It was the second fatal accident involving the 737 MAX 8 model in less than five months.
