Air New Zealand has announced its commitment for eight Boeing 787-10 aircraft in a deal valued at $2.7 bn (£2.1 bn). The new Dreamliner aircraft, powered by GE GEnx-1B engines, are set to replace the airline’s ageing fleet of 777-200ER aircraft, which are expected to be retired from service by 2025.
